Impact Evaluation
BERGO can undertake an 'impact evaluation' for organisations wishing to assess the impact of an intervention (such as an initiative, programme or policy) on the well-being of individuals. A key objective of impact evaluation is to assess the changes that may have took place and to analyse which changes are attributable to an intervention. Impact evaluation is a valuable tool for dynamic learning as the findings allow policymakers to improve ongoing programmes and ultimately better allocate funds across programs.
Approach
An evaluation would typically involve the following stages:
- Understanding the organisational objectives and purpose of intervention
- Investigating the context of the intervention and the variables that have an impact on effectiveness
- Understanding how the intervention was implemented within the organisation
- Developing, collecting and assessing qualitative and quantitative metrics that provide an insight into the impact of the intervention
